“Hasta la Raíz” is a new song by Natalia Lafourcade, the Grammy award winning Mexican pop-rock singer and songwriter. She recently tied for the Grammy win in the best Latin rock, urban or alternative album category with Pitbull, for her excellent 2015 release, Hasta La Raiz. Described by Billboard magazine as “an album of intensely personal songs with an alternative vibe that’s been very successful in her native Mexico but has a decidedly niche following in the U.S.”

Fourcade began her career in early 2000 and released her self-titled debut in 2003. The album was nominated for several Grammy Latin awards, and in 2004, the following year, Lafourcade assembled a four-piece rock band, Natalia y la Forquetina. The band released Casa in 2005, for which she won a Latin Grammy for Best Rock Album by a Duo or Group with Vocal. In 2006 she disbanded the band and has since gone back to recording as a solo artist.
